Privacy Policy
Pipkin collects no personal data. Your photos never leave your devices and your own iCloud, and nothing is ever sent to us.
What Pipkin looks at, and where
- Your photo library. With your permission, Pipkin reads your photos and videos to find similar shots, screenshots, large videos and other clutter. All of this analysis runs on your device. If you give Pipkin access to only some photos, it works with only those.
- Text inside photos. To protect receipts, upcoming tickets and other important images, Pipkin reads text in screenshots and photos on your device. That text is used in the moment and never stored or sent anywhere.
- Apple Intelligence. On supported devices, some features use Apple's on-device models. These run on your device under Apple's own privacy terms; Pipkin sends nothing to us.
- Free space. Pipkin reads how much storage is free on your device to show it to you. It isn't recorded or shared.
What Pipkin stores
Pipkin keeps a small amount of information on your device so it can work: which photos you chose to keep (so it never asks again), links between photos and events, the leaves on Pipkin's plant, your settings, and a short record of what Pipkin deleted so you can find it in Recently Deleted. It never stores copies of your photos or the text read from them.
If you're signed in to iCloud, your keep choices sync between your own devices through your private iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. We can't see or access this data. You can reset everything at any time in Settings › Start fresh, and deleting the app removes the data stored on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Pipkin has no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party code that collects data. It makes no network requests with your photos or anything derived from them. Its App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected", and you can confirm Pipkin contacts no servers of ours in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › App Privacy Report.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment details or Apple Account. Apple may share sales reports with us that don't identify you. Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Apple's reports to us
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may give us aggregated, non-identifying statistics such as install counts and crash reports. You can turn this off in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Pipkin is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the effective date above and say what changed in the app's release notes. Questions: pipkin.support@gmail.com.
